After the founding of People’s Republic of China,
the sports career in Hunan began, and it experiences the hard developing road from small to big, from weak to strong, and gain wonderful achievement. Especially after 1980’s, the developing aim and key points are set, and a sport developing road with Hunan characteristic is carried on. It gets into a glorious period on the developing history of Hunan sport as the sign of getting 8th of golden medals and the 10th of the total marks in the 8th National Sports Meeting in1997.
